Project Description (1-Week University Project)

This project is a short first-person exploration game set on Xyren, a blue-purple-dark green alien planet. The player pilots the Cassian 4-62, a small explorer ship equipped with a joystick controller, two automatic laser scanners, and a read-only communication terminal.

The game takes place inside an invisible labyrinth, visible only through the ship’s laser scanners. As the player navigates, they encounter local martians, environmental hazards. Gameplay combines visual navigation, audio-based tension in dark sections, and simple movement/acceleration mechanics.

The full experience lasts 10 –15 minutes and ends with the player finding the base. The project includes basic state machines for the vehicle, martians, focusing on simple movement, obstacle detection, and scripted events.
